A troubling new report by journalist Lee Smith details how the Federal Bureau of Investigations helped a Pakistani assassin with possible connections to Iran to enter America where he planned to try and kill Donald Trump.
The Pakistani national, Asif Merchant, was arrested while trying to flee the U.S. one day before would-be Trump murderer Thomas Crooks shot the GOP nominee in the ear in July.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin posted in August about Merchant being let into America by the FBI’s Dallas office, which reportedly sponsored his parole after he was apprehended by Border Patrol agents at a Texas airport.
According to Melugin and the FBI, the Bureau allowed the Pakistani into the country so they could monitor him and build a case.
“Merchant was arrested on July 12th, nearly three months after he was admitted into the US. The FBI had eyes on him during this time, and utilized numerous undercover agents, who Merchant thought were hitmen he was hiring,” Melugin wrote.

So, the Pakistani national was trying to hire assassins to kill Trump on behalf of the Iranian government and the FBI knew all along?
While there is still little information available about Thomas Crooks, Americans have been told he had multiple cell phones and encrypted accounts communicating with people in other countries.
Could Crooks have been in communication with Merchant or any other people hiring to kill the GOP nominee?
After all, according to DHS sources who warned Florida GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz, there are numerous “kill teams” in America actively working to carry out a hit on Trump.
Former FBI agent turned whistleblower Steve Friend told Lee Smith it’s unusual that Merchant “was in the country for several months before they executed the arrest.”
Friend also suggested the feds did not have any proof Merchant had connections to the Iranian government or that he had intentions of targeting Trump before he came to America.
It’s also strange that Merchant only offered $5,000 to kill Trump, which does not indicate large-scale backing.
Regarding the question of why the feds would create a Trump assassination attempt out of thin air, Smith wrote, “Why would the FBI invent a plot to kill Trump? First, by claiming the Iranians are responsible for this effort deflects attention from the fact that the real two would-be assassins, Crooks and Ryan Routh, are Democratic Party supporters. Further, says Friend, it boosts FBI statistics. ‘If they had just been aware of some sort of a plot and brought it to light then it would have been a disruption of a domestic terrorist plot. But because they arrested him, it’s dismantlement, which is a very rare and very valuable statistic.’”
The story adds fuel to claims that Iran is actively trying to murder Trump, which could spark WWIII if carried out.
Of course, the plot bears resemblance to the phony FBI-created “kidnapping” of Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
An upcoming documentary about the FBI’s role in the kidnapping plot of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.) went viral online last month.
How many other individuals and groups seeking to harm Donald Trump are on the FBI’s radar, and do you believe the agency would admit it if one of them “accidentally” got away with an assassination?
