During Wednesday’s Electoral College vote count, Congressman Paul Gosar (R, AZ) & Sen. Ted Cruz (R, TX) objected to the state of Arizona’s submission.
Gosar and 60 colleagues submitted an objection to Vice President Mike Pence, which was in writing and signed by Senator Cruz.
After the Senate applauded the objection, Pence stated, “An objection presented in writing and signed by both a representative and a senator complies with the law, Chapter 1 of title 3 of the United States Code. The clerk will report the objection.”
