British celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson has put a sign above his pub the Greyhound in Oxfordshire making clear that “unvaccinated” people are welcome.
After he put the sign up, which says, “We do not discriminate. Race, gender, age, disability, vaccinated or unvaccinated. Everyone equal here. Everyone welcome,” the TV chef received negative press coverage because the sign was reportedly “made by an anti-vaccination group.”
“I’m doing it [having the sign up] because I don’t want to discriminate against anyone,” Worrall Thompson told the BBC.
“At the end of the day we’ve done our time, we’ve done two years of this, lockdowns and various things and precautions, and I think it’s time to move on,” he added.
The famous chef noted that he was not an “anti-vaxxer,” but merely believed in medical freedom.

“If you don’t want to put chemicals into your body, it has to be your choice,” said the TV presenter.
Dr Rachel Ward of Woodlands Medical Centre in Didcot suggested the sign should be removed because it encourages people not to get vaccinated, despite the message simply expressing that everyone is welcome regardless of vaccination status.
Indeed, the mere fact that the sign would be mildly controversial and prompt national news coverage is incredibly pedantic.
Although England briefly introduced vaccine passports to enter nightclubs and other venues over the Christmas period, the rules are expected to be scrapped within the next week.
However, according to reports, some mask mandates might remain despite the government providing absolutely no evidence that they work in reducing the spread of the virus.
