Fox News anchor Chris Wallace swooned over Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, praising his speech as the best he’s ever heard.
After reading excerpts of Biden’s address, Wallace had to drop what he was doing and add that such an address is without equal in American history.
“I thought it was a great speech,” Wallace said. “I’ve been listening to these inaugural addresses since 1961…I thought this was the best inaugural address I ever heard.”
Wallace’s remarks are notable given Biden’s milquetoast speech touted racial equality, and taking on “white supremacy” and climate change.
They’re also particularly newsworthy given how he reacted to Donald Trump’s inaugural address in 2017, calling it “the speech of an insurgent of the leader of a revolt that has won, has taken control of Washington.”
Wallace was also a moderator for one of the 2020 presidential debates, and his credibility took a hit after he constantly interrupted Trump while providing cover for Biden throughout the event.
