CNN anchor Chris Wallace laughed at his coworker Dana Bash for spinning Election Day exit polls in favor of Democrat presidential selectee Kamala Harris, telling viewers the Biden VP would need a “miracle” to win the election based on the polling.

The outlet’s first set of exit polls showed the vast majority of voters hold a negative view of “the way things are going in the U.S.” and “disapprove” of Joe Biden’s presidency.
Responding to the opinions of Americans leaving the voting booth, Bash suggested some of the “dissatisfied” citizens could be voicing their anger at Donald Trump and not Harris.
Wallace cut in, saying, “I think that’s putting the best spin on it,” before Bash asked, “For whom?”
Chuckling, Wallace explained, “I think when you see current voters saying that by a three to one margin that they are dissatisfied with the country or angry I gotta say I think that that’s the present conditions of the country. I mean, in conventional terms it would be a miracle that Kamala Harris could win with that kind of headwind and also with a president, remember she was part of the administration, Biden-Harris administration was 41% approved, 58% disapproved.”
“This isn’t even close to the 50% that is traditionally…” he added before being cut off and continuing, “If she is able to overcome those numbers and still win this election, then she has done a remarkable job of somehow separating herself that she’s a part of the solution and not part of the problem.”
