X users highlighted a curious anomaly on the day after the 2024 presidential election, pointing out Democrat candidate Kamala Harris only bested GOP opponent Donald Trump in states where voter ID is not required.

“Kamala won all the states that don’t require voter ID,” one X user declared in a viral post that garnered over 83K likes and 3.6 million views as of writing.

Two US maps accompanying the post compare states Harris won on Tuesday night with states that don’t have voter ID requirements.

States won by Harris – including Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, New York, and Maine – do not require registered voters to present ID at polls.

The strange coincidence was also underscored by other X users.

Republicans have frequently warned that refusing to pass voter ID laws jeopardizes the US election system, and allows illegal aliens, non-citizens and other ineligible parties to unlawfully cast their votes in national elections.

Trump railed against states refusing to implement voter ID laws during a speech in Lancaster County, Pa., just days ahead of the election.

Tuesday night’s results appear to bolster Republicans’ arguments for implementing voter id laws nationwide to protect voter integrity.
