The Deep State establishment is apparently worried about President Donald Trump’s DOJ launching investigations into the weaponization of government, because Google searches for “criminal defense lawyer” are surging in Washington, D.C.
Rasmussen’s Mark Mitchell noted the anomaly on Tuesday, saying, “Over three times more people in DC are googling ‘Criminal Defense Lawyer’ than anywhere else in the US!”

The phenomenon caught the attention of DOGE’s Elon Musk, who said in response, “Interesting.”

Musk on Tuesday announced that DOGE would investigate politicians whose annual income was much lower than their overall net worth, such as the USAID’s former administrator Samantha Power, whose net worth is estimated to be $30 million despite her salary of $250,000.
“We find it sort of rather odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow manage to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position…We’re just curious as to where it came from,” Musk said at the Oval Office with President Trump.
Former White House advisor Steve Bannon last week also warned the Democrats and operatives who participated in the coordinated lawfare and other criminal conspiracies against Trump to “lawyer up” because the DOJ would be investigating everything from the Russia collusion hoax to the stolen 2020 election.
“There’s a massive series of investigations we have to have so the American people can fully understand how the apparatus came about, how it was weaponized and then how is it used against the American people,” Bannon told GB News.
“I think there’s going to be a lot of people that go to prison. I mean, I think a lot of people are going to go to prison for many many years,” he added.
Trump’s DOJ recently fired numerous career prosecutors and senior FBI officials, and launched an extensive review of thousands of agents involved in the sprawling Jan. 6 investigation.
Attorney General Pam Bondi after being sworn in last week also vowed to end the “weaponization” of the DOJ and investigate the “unethical prosecutions” of the Jan. 6 political prisoners who were recently pardoned by President Trump.
