The Department of Homeland Security has tapped yet another disinformation agent to replace its last disinformation agent Nina Jankowicz to the Disinformation Governance Board after a disastrous rollout.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas picked former DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff to replace Jankowicz to lead a “thorough review” of its embattled disinformation board, which was put on “pause” Monday after intense backlash.
“This assessment will focus on answering two pivotal questions. First, how can the Department most effectively and appropriately address disinformation that poses a threat to our country,” the DHS said in a statement Wednesday.

“Second, how can DHS achieve greater transparency across our disinformation-related work and increase trust with the public and other stakeholders.”
Like Jankowicz, Chertoff also peddled the blatant lie that the Hunter Biden laptop story first broken by the New York Post was the product of “Russian disinformation” just weeks before the 2020 election.
“But it looks like the evidence that’s emerging shows that these purported documents were circulating by the Russians in Ukraine for some period of time. This suggests that this information is not only online but it’s an old-fashioned spy story involving human intelligence sources,” Chertoff, who served in the George W. Bush administration, said in a virtual “Defend Democracy” discussion.
The contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop have been independently verified by numerous forensic analysts for the New York Post and the Daily Mail.
The authentications were so conclusive that the New York Times and The Washington Post were forced earlier this year to admit that Hunter Biden’s laptop and the corrupt emails did indeed belong to Joe Biden’s son.
This move by the DHS is its latest attempt to bail out its Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” board following weeks of fierce backlash surrounding both the board and its chair Jankowicz aka “Scary Poppins.”
To further add to the irony of this whole development, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy crystallized the DHS’s weak explanation for the “pause”: “The disinformation board is being shutdown because of disinformation? Is that what’s happening here?” he asked during a WH press briefing Wednesday.
