Elected representatives who threaten to defy a future mass deportation effort would be committing felonies under US law if they obstruct federal officials, Donald Trump’s border czar nominee, Tom Homan, warned.
Asked about elected reps who may defy Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials this week, Homan said feds are coming for criminal illegals whether they like it or not.
“Well first of all, if they don’t want to help us, get the hell out of the way, we’re going to do it,” Homan told Fox News’ Lawrence Jones.

“If I got to send twice the amount of resources to that city, that’s what we are going to do. If they give us access to the jail, that’ll mean less agents in their community,” Homan said. “For them pushing back and not letting us in the jail, it just means more agents are going to be in the community, so they’re hurting themselves.”
“Finally, I’ll say this they need to educate themselves. They need to review this Title 8, United States Code 1324 (iii) – read about that and don’t cross that line, because it is a felony to harbor and conceal an illegal alien from ICE. Read this statute. Don’t cross that line,” he warned.
He went on to outline his agenda items, saying Trump plans to “focus on public security threats and national security threats first, and fugitives – those who cross the border illegally, had great due process at great taxpayer expense and were ordered removed by an immigration judge and didn’t leave – they’re also a priority.”

1. Secure the border
2. Mass deportations
3. Find the 300k missing childrenhttps://t.co/uRwOGQFHWr https://t.co/rITYi8BrWj pic.twitter.com/MNle8QYoMk
“And third rail, we’ve got to find over 300,000 missing children that were released into this country to so-called sponsors that the government can’t find,” he added.
Homan also expressed bewilderment to threats from Democrat Boston Mayor Michelle Wu who claimed she’ll shield illegals, saying, “She’s not very smart. I’ll give her that.”
“What I just said is President Trump is going to prioritize public safety threats. What mayor or governor doesn’t want public safety threats out of their communities?”
“I mean that’s your number one responsibility is to protect your communities. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do. So either she helps us, or she gets the hell out of the way, cause we’re going to do it.”

On Monday, Democrat Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs told reporters she looked forward to working with the Trump administration on border security, but added there are people in Arizona who “are worried about threats from the Trump administration as well.”
“I will not tolerate actions that harm Arizonans, that harm our communities and quite honestly, divert resources from providing real security at our border,” Hobbs said.

“We will not be participating in misguided efforts that harm our communities,” she told ABC News.
Boston Mayor Wu on Sunday said her city would not cooperate with the incoming-Border Czar’s immigration initiative.
Via the New York Post:
“Elections have consequences, and the federal government is responsible for a certain set of actions, and cities, no individual city, can reverse or override some parts of that,” she said. “But what we can do is make sure that we are doing our part to protect our residents in every possible way, that we are not cooperating with those efforts that actually threaten the safety of everyone by causing widespread fear and and having large scale economic impact.”
“And then we are providing the spaces to reach out directly to our residents, because the last thing we want is for people who are part of our economy, part of our school system, part of our community and the fabric of our city, to feel that all of a sudden they have to retreat into the shadows with because of fear that reaching out to city services, whether it’s calling 911, when you need it, or taking your child to school, those are all city services that have nothing to do with immigration enforcement, and we will continue to protect our residents within those spaces,” she said.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) also claimed he’d protect illegals from federal officials earlier this month, stating, “To anyone that comes to take away freedom and dignity of Illinoisans, I would remind you that a happy warrior is still a warrior.”
“Game on,” Homan responded. We’ve got no problem going through him. I’ve got 20,000 men and women in ICE who are going to do their job with no apology…And if any governor wants to stand in the way, go ahead and do it. We’ll see what happens. We’re not gonna be intimidated.”
Democrat Mass. Gov. Maura Healey following Trump’s decisive victory said she planned on resisting the incoming Trump admin’s efforts to deport illegals.
Time will tell whether the elected officials adhere to the mandate handed down by voters when they re-elected Donald Trump earlier this month, or whether Homan will have to run roughshod over their illegal alien sanctuary operations.
