For the second time in less than two weeks, a smuggling operation involving dozens of Chinese illegals was blown up in Coral Gables, FL.
The bust unfolded at around 8 a.m on Tuesday morning in the upmarket enclave, which is home to the University of Miami.
The Coral Gables Police Department (CGPD) received a 911 call regarding potential human smuggling and dispatched officers to intercept two suspicious cargo vans traveling through the city.
During an inspection, authorities encountered 26 Chinese nationals who were illegally present in the U.S., along with two Cuban smugglers of undisclosed immigration status.
“The breakdown on that are nine females, 17 males,” CGPD Chief Edward James Hudak Jr. told local media.
U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Miami Sector Chief Jeffrey Dinise indicated the Chinese illegals had arrived by boat before being loaded into vans to be transported deeper into the interior of the country.

The illegal aliens were taken into custody by USBP and brought to a processing facility.
Ten days ago, a similar smuggling attempt was interrupted in Coral Gables after a security guard alerted CGPD about a possible kidnapping in-progress in a residential neighborhood.
CGPD stopped a U-Haul van a short time later and discovered 33 illegal aliens inside – 31 Chinese nationals, a woman from Brazil, and a man from Ecuador.
“We do believe these individuals were brought here by the water,” Chief Hudak explained at the time.
“They were probably dropped off, we’re assuming somewhere around the southern end of Coral Gables and approached on foot to the van where they were loaded into it.”
InfoWars has reported on multiple additional incidents involving Chinese illegals arriving to South Florida in smuggling vessels.
