Special Counsel John Durham testified before the House Judiciary Committee in D.C. on Wednesday, facing off with Democrat politicians angry he exposed the Trump-Russia witch hunt as a corrupt political attack.
Durham’s underlying message to the American people and politicians in both parties was that the FBI showed and continues to show a blatant political bias against Donald Trump.
Unless there is major reform within the FBI, the public cannot trust the weaponized federal agency.
Check out some of the highlights of Durham’s testimony below:
In the following clip, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) tried to sarcastically ask if the children of U.S. presidents are often approached by foreign governments, and Durham insinuated the Congressman should be familiar with the concept as it’s “not unique” in the Biden administration.
During Rep. Jerry Nadler’s (D-N.Y.) time to question Durham, the Democrat politician failed to accurately describe basic facts surrounding the special counsel investigation as he attempted to portray it as a nonsuccess.
Another Democrat politician, Congressman Hank Johnson of Georgia, also displayed his ignorance about basic information when he asked Durham why he “couldn’t even indict Hunter Biden?”
Durham simply explained his group “didn’t investigate Mr. Hunter Biden,” and the congressman ignored the statement.
Later, Rep. Johnson struggled to understand the difference between someone being “charged” with a crime and a grand jury finding someone guilty.
At one point, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) also falsely claimed there were “dozens of convictions” in relation to the Mueller Special Counsel investigation into President Trump.
In a moment so hypocritical it’s laughable, Rep. Swalwell was bold enough to question Durham about potentially sharing sensitive data with spies.
The reason the remark was so bizarre is Swalwell was infamously said to have been having a sexual relationship with an actual Communist Chinese Party spy named Fang Fang.
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) appeared unhinged as he shouted at Durham, “You’re reputation will be damaged as everybody’s reputation who gets involved with Donald Trump is damaged. He’s damaged goods, there’s no good dealing with him because you will end up on the bottom of a pyre.”
In response, Durham answered, “My concern about my reputation is with the people who I respect, and my family, and my Lord, and I’m perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir.”
During his time speaking with GOP members of the committee, Durham laid out the corruption he found at the FBI, saying, “The FBI was too willing to accept and use politically funded and uncorroborated opposition research such as the Steele Dossier.”
Talking to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Durham admitted the FBI “ignored” several “significant red flags” when looking into the infamous Steele Dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton.
When Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) asked Durham why he referred to his “findings and conclusions as sobering,” the special counsel explained, “I have had any number of FBI agents…who have come to me and apologized for the manner in which that investigation [Crossfire Hurricane] was undertaken.”
Florida GOP Congressman Byron Donalds pointed out CNN and MSNBC completely ignored the Durham testimony during their Wednesday news coverage.
