Soon after DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz revealed on Thursday that there were 26 “confidential human sources” (CHS) embedded in the massive crowd of Trump supporters on January 6, 2021, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) posted footage online showing Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland perjured himself while under oath.
“Watch!” Massie wrote on 𝕏. “AG Garland lied to me under oath for years about whether confidential human sources were at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Based on the DOJ Inspector General’s report today, will Garland ask Biden for a preemptive pardon for his perjury?”

Based on the DOJ Inspector General's report today, will Garland ask Biden for a preemptive pardon for his perjury?https://t.co/rIv7oyOQgX pic.twitter.com/VKvuE6GyIM
In the first video clip, from October 2021, Garland refused to comment on whether or not there were any CHSs in the Jan. 6 crowd.
Then, in September 2023, Garland claimed he didn’t know if the federal government had any assets on the ground during the infamous incident and that he did not know the number if there were any.
Massie told the AG at the time, “I think you may have just perjured yourself that you don’t know that there were any… You’ve had two years to find out.”
With the Inspector General report confirming a CHS presence at the J6 rally, it seems as if Garland indeed lied to Massie.
If Garland wasn’t lying under oath he should immediately retire for being so uninformed about one of the biggest political scandals in recent American history.
Rep. Massie issued a follow-up social media post, stating, “For years I was called a conspiracy theorist for asking Garland, Wray, and Horowitz whether government assets participated in J6. Yesterday I was vindicated. DOJ IG report confirms there were FBI confidential human sources in the crowd, entering the Capitol, and breaking laws.”
It’s also worth noting the IG report only confirms the FBI’s 26 CHSs at the Capitol on January 6th, and doesn’t reveal how many, if any, undercover agents participated in or provoked the debacle.
In November 2023, former FBI Director Christopher Wray was questioned by Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) during a congressional hearing about the possibility that the Bureau had more than 200 agents in the J6 crowd.
Surveillance camera footage shows loads of individuals being bussed into D.C. hours ahead of the melee.

Higgins accused the FBI of filling “ghost busses” with FBI informants who dressed up like Trump supporters.

Wray just happened to resign from his post as FBI director just one day before the IG report was released.
Furthermore, the nation deserves to know what other government entities participated in the J6 rally, as Infowars reported last year that DC Metro Cops encouraged people to climb scaffolding and go towards the Capitol.
The report confirms what alternative media has already been reporting for years, but America is still far from learning the whole truth behind January 6th.
