Joe Biden degraded the memory of civil rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr., back in June 2020, claiming Dr. King’s death was not as impactful globally as that of venerated drug user George Floyd.
“But even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did,” Biden remarked during a roundtable in Philadelphia.

Despite being made more than two years ago, Biden’s comments are still being scrutinized for illustrating the depths to which the progressive left sank in 2020 when they bent over backwards to mischaracterize Floyd as a civil rights martyr.
Meanwhile, then President-elect Trump met with Martin Luther King Jr.’s son Martin Luther King III on MLK Jr. Day three days before he was even inaugurated. They discussed his father’s legacy, and that “worldwide impact” Joey mentioned. pic.twitter.com/MO1tkXieFS

Meanwhile, the progressive left have completely desecrated MLK’s legacy to suit their agenda, claiming he would be against voter ID laws and in favor of teaching the racist Critical Race Theory in schools, despite his famous “I have a dream” speech stating he’d like his children to grow up “in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
