A disturbing report published in 2022 by Natalie Winters of WarRoom.org detailed how a group operating “election observing” programs in U.S. swing states elections is closely tied to the Communist Chinese government.
The story focused on The Carter Center, a left-wing NGO founded by its namesake, former Democrat President Jimmy Carter.
Winters documented the partnership between The Carter Center and multiple CCP-funded groups, including working on Chinese elections, as well as the group’s “nonpartisan” election observers sent to “monitor” the 2022 midterms in several key states.
The Center also sponsors initiatives to combat election “misinformation,” which is essentially used to counter any criticisms of the upcoming elections.
War Room reported, “The Carter Center’s ample ties to Beijing have been repeatedly flagged by U.S. lawmakers, as it has worked with several groups operating under China’s ‘United Front.’”
The group began “observing” elections in the U.S. in 2020 and has run similar operations in 39 other countries.
Expanding its efforts in 2022 and planning to expand even further in 2024, The Carter Center recently worked with election officials in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina.
It’s interesting that Fulton County, Georgia, where Donald Trump was recently indicted for allegedly attempting to “reverse the results” of the 2020 election, chose the CHICOM-connected NGO to “observe” November’s midterms.
In Arizona, where Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs appeared to get away with a stolen election in 2022, The Carter Center started a subgroup to combat “election misinformation.”
The group’s 2022 Annual Report notes it partnered with Meta (formerly Facebook) to “improve and further integrate online information monitoring activities into its election observation missions and its local partners’ missions.”
In fact, Hobbs copied Georgia this week by calling for her state to indict Donald Trump for questioning the results there during the 2020 election.
Regarding its relationship with the Chinese government, The Carter Center has been linked to a Communist Party front group since 2012 as well as another group flagged by the U.S. State Department for trying to influence American officials.
Since 1998, the group has worked with the CCP’s Ministry of Civil Affairs to monitor and report on Chinese elections, with Winters reporting they “routinely” fail “to offer any harsh criticism of the regime’s electoral manipulation and intimidation.”
Additional Carter Center partners include the who’s who of globalism such as Pfizer Inc., Merck & Co Inc., George Soros’s Open Society Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the UN, the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, and the World Health Organization among many others.
