A former CIA officer took to Twitter to boast about how he helped “swing” the 2020 presidential election “away from Trump” by trying to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell story as Russian disinformation.
The admission by John Sipher, a retired officer of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service, came during a spat with former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell over the weekend.
Sipher was one of the 51 intelligence officials who signed a letter falsely claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story broken by The New York Post in October 2020 was “Russian disinformation.”
“I take special pride in swinging the election away from Trump. You’re welcome,” Sipher tweeted.
“Maybe cowardly Dick forgot he blocked me for the last several years and only unblocked me to give me credit for swinging the election.”
Over a year after The Post broke the Hunter Biden laptop story, The New York Times finally decided to acknowledge that the laptop did indeed belong to Hunter Biden and did contain a trove of emails detailing Joe and Hunter’s corrupt dealings with China, Ukraine, Russia, and others.
Perhaps realizing he admitted to participating in hijacking the U.S. election’s democratic process, Sipher did some damage control trying to claim that he never said Biden’s story was Russian disinformation, but that “Russia and the right wing” were “amplifying” the story for “disinformation purposes.”
“Just to be clear. Disingenuous Dick and his cronies are spinning this story by pretending the letter said something it didn’t say. Didn’t say the laptop wasn’t Biden’s but that Russia and the right wing were exploring and amplifying the story for disinformation purposes.”
But how can the Hunter Biden laptop story be spread for “disinformation purposes” if the story is itself confirmed and authenticated by numerous news outlets?
Sipher’s nonsensical explanation fails to answer that question.
Sipher again tried backtracking, claiming he was just being “sarcastic” about participating in a campaign to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story to “swing” the 2020 election.
For those in a sweaty rage over something or other, this is called sarcasm. As if a retired dude on Twitter could swing an election of 300 million ppl over an issue that has nothing to do with said election. People like @RichardGrenell who deny election results will say anything.

The letter Sipher and 50 other intelligence officials signed claimed they were “deeply suspicious” the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation despite admitting they had no proof to support their claim.
“We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case,” the letter states.
“If we are right, this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this,” the signers added.
The letter was then cited by the Biden campaign, the mainstream media, and Big Tech as justification to shut down and censor the story and ban The New York Post from social media just before Election Day.
This is more proof that REAL election meddling was perpetrated by the U.S. intelligentsia in coordination with the media, tech sector, and federal government.
