Businesses in a Pennsylvania town are experiencing a crime wave fueled by ongoing border invasion, according to reports.
Gangs of illegal aliens from South America are looting retail shops in West Whiteland, a township located approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia.
Local police say they have been apprehending foreign suspects who have been stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from department stores and other local businesses.
“They’re taking advantage of coming to the U.S. and committing these crimes, and being able to disappear to some degree,” West Whiteland Police Detective Scott Pezick told ABC 6.
“Over the last month, we’ve had what we call South American theft groups.”
Pezick says at least three such groups have hit the area in recent months.
One suspect, an illegal alien from Peru, was caught stealing $17,000 of merchandise from a Kohl’s in June.
The man was subsequently deported but returned to the U.S. almost immediately.
“Recently, I was contacted by a federal agency just alerting me he was back in the country,” said Pezick.
“That was less than a month ago and he’s back in the United States.”
On February 1, two Venezuelan illegals were arrested for lifting $2,000 of merchandise from an Ulta beauty store that was hit repeatedly by thieves who ultimately made off with nearly $20,000 worth of stolen goods in months prior.
Deleterious effects of the Biden border invasion are being felt in towns across Eastern Pennsylvania, as InfoWars has reported.
Last week, authorities in Montgomery County announced charges against a male illegal alien from Venezuela who is suspected of killing a 20-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son in a high-speed crash while he was delivering for DoorDash in January.
