While the nation focuses on Southern California’s Palisades fire disaster, Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley is being called out online for repeatedly boasting about hiring women and members of the LGBTQ community instead of simply finding the best people for the job.
A video going viral online shows Crowley bragging to NBC 4 Los Angeles about how she rolled out a strategic plan to “increase diversity” in the department.
“People ask me, ‘What number are you looking for?’ I say I’m not looking for a number. It’s never enough,” she told the outlet.
Crowley is also a homosexual, which “checks another box when it comes to inclusivity and diversity,” according to the local news station.
Actor James Woods, who lost his home in the Palisades fire, pointed out that the LAFD chief included a section about “promoting a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equity” in her LAFD website bio.
Another video being shared on social media shows the L.A. County Fire Department teaching employees about DEI and “cultural competence.”
𝕏 owner Elon Musk commented on a post about the department instituting a “racial equity plan,” writing, “They prioritized DEI over saving lives and homes.“
In addition to the city’s DEI policies harming the fire department, the mayor recently cut LAFD budget.
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass also cut the Los Angeles Fire Department budget by a whopping $23 million in 2024!
Infowars founder Alex Jones commented on the budget cut, writing, “Who needs money or water or anything when you have DEI. California is being deliberately destroyed by design. It’s called the WEF post industrial plan of the Great Reset! Trump and Elon are fighting it and so should YOU!”
