A courageous Republican Georgia state senator has called for an emergency special session to review a proposal to impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on the grounds she’s abusing her position of power by pursuing the bunk indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Georgia State Sen. Colton Moore, representing District 53, announced his move to convene a special session Thursday, saying “an emergency exists” requiring state lawmakers to review Willis’ actions.

“We must strip all funding and, if appropriate, impeach Fani Willis,” Moore bluntly stated on X.

“Corrupt District Attorney Fani Willis is potentially abusing her position of power by pursuing former President Donald J. Trump, and I am calling on my colleagues in the Georgia legislature to join me in calling for an emergency session to investigate and review her actions and determine if they warrant impeachment,” Moore stated in a petition calling for support for his impeachment efforts.

“The politically-motivated weaponization of our justice system at the expense of taxpayers will not be tolerated. I am demanding that we defund her office until we find out what the hell is going on. We cannot stand idly by as corrupt prosecutors choose to target their political opposition.”

Moore’s efforts drew praise from conservatives on social media, who lauded him as “a Republican with a backbone.”

The state senator in an interview with the Charlie Kirk Show Thursday declared, “We have a district attorney using taxpayer money, using her government authority, to persecute her political opponent to the tune of the death penalty… I will not be a sitting senator in this state and potentially have the former president be executed in the state of Georgia.”

On Monday, Willis announced a 41-count indictment against former President Trump, which he has dismissed as another attempt by the establishment to go after people looking into election rigging.
