Germany’s new left-wing leader Olaf Scholz has declared himself to be the “chancellor of the unvaccinated,” despite arguing for mandatory vaccinations and calling anti-vaccine passport protesters “disgusting.”
That’s quite the reach.
During an interview with Bild, Scholz asserted that Germany was not divided between the jabbed and the unjabbed, while proclaiming himself to also represent those who have chosen not to be vaccinated.
“Germany is not divided! Most of the citizens have had themselves vaccinated. Many more want to do so soon because they have overcome their concerns,” Scholz told the paper. “And of those who do not get vaccinated, there are very few who believe that they have to demonstrate their resistance to the vaccinations with martial torch marches.”
“I want to hold the country together. And so I am also the chancellor of the unvaccinated,” he added. “I would like to convince them of the point of vaccination. But: Having different opinions doesn’t mean division. We can also argue. I am convinced that the vast majority of those who have not been vaccinated find these torch-lit rallies just as disgusting as I do.”
While proclaiming himself to also represent the unvaccinated, Scholz is in favor of making the shot mandatory for the entire population, meaning his statement is a glib oxymoron.
“As a member of parliament, I will vote for compulsory vaccination because it is legally permissible and morally correct,” Scholz previously stated.
So Scholz believes himself to be the “chancellor of the unvaccinated” yet is also working to ensure that “the unvaccinated” cease to exist as a group of people.
Makes perfect sense, right?
Calling anti-COVID tyranny protesters “disgusting” is also hardly going to endear him to people who have concerns about compulsory vaccinations, is it?
