Perhaps fearing even further ridicule, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have gone cold on the idea of suing the creators of South Park for making fun of them in a recent episode.
As we highlighted yesterday, the whinging couple reportedly had their lawyers pour over the episode to see if it contained anything “sinister” that could be legally actionable.
The show made fun of Harry and Meghan constantly complaining about their privacy being invaded while simultaneously being on a ‘World Wide Privacy Tour’ of relentless self-publicity.
Royal commentator Neil Sean revealed, “Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister.”
This prompted a further wave of ridicule, with many asking if the royals seriously believed they could sue comedy writers for making jokes about their behavior and hurting their feelings.
Opinion polls in the UK show that Megan is the least popular royal aside from only Prince Andrew. Observers noted that they were more sensitive over the South Park episode because it would primarily be seen by an American audience.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in “serious trouble” if their popularity plummets in the US.
However, their legal team appears to have swiftly concluded that no legal action will be pursued.
“The Sussexes’ spokesperson said the idea of the animated television sketch having legal ramifications was “all frankly nonsense” and “totally baseless and boring,” reports the Telegraph.
The moaning Duchess was said to be “upset and overwhelmed” by the episode, in a familiar pattern to how she overreacts to any and all criticism.
The controversy will do little to help her and Harry’s reputation as emotionally incontinent, narssisistic grievance grifters.
