Hunter Biden lost artworks worth “millions of dollars” in the Los Angeles wildfires.
The New York Post reports that hundreds of artworks by the outgoing President’s son were destroyed.
Around 200 of Hunter Biden’s works were in storage near the Pacific Palisades home of Kevin Morris, but were destroyed by the devastating fires. A source close to the Biden family said the value of the artworks was “millions of dollars.”
Morris, who loaned Hunter Biden $5 million to help him pay a massive tax bill, lives in a huge house in the area. It’s one of the few that survived the wildfires, which have claimed thousands of properties and dozens of lives. Morris also paid off $2 million of Hunter’s tax bills.
Hunter Biden’s career as an artist has been a source of some controversy and suggestions of political corruption. His mixed-media paintings have sold for as much as $500,000 individually, and many of the purchasers have been prominent Democrats and wealthy friends of the Biden family.
Kevin Morris himself bought 11 of Hunter’s artworks for $875,000.
It was recently claimed that Hunter tried to pay off an outstanding rent payment of $300,000 with “art made from his own feces.”
