Courtroom sketch artist William J. Hennessy Jr. was criticized by deranged Trump haters last week after they claimed his drawings of GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump were too kind.
Internet users with severe cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) took to Twitter to complain the artist made the former president look “kingly,” “young,” and “thin.”
In response to the unexpected backlash, Hennessy Jr. told The Boston Globe, “It’s rare I get any kind of feedback.”
The artist explained, “Some said he looked too thin, too young, and some said he looked too good,” saying it appeared most of the hate came from individuals who already “didn’t care much for Trump.”
Regarding his work, Hennessy Jr. said, “I don’t editorialize. I just draw what I see.”
