Billionaire talk show guru Oprah denies she was paid $1 million by the Harris campaign to host a town hall on the failed Democrat candidate’s behalf.
Oprah made the comments Monday after a TMZ reporter asked her to comment on the election results, which she refused to expound on.
“Not talking about the election. Thank you very much,” she told the reporter.

The reporter then asked about the $1 million payment, “Is it true they [Harris campaign] paid you a million dollars for the endorsement of Kamala?”
“Not true. I was paid nothing — ever,” Oprah replied.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings that show Harpo Productions – of which Oprah is a director, member of the board, and officer of the production company – received a million dollars from the Harris campaign in two $500,000 payments.

Oprah has been a vocal supporter of the Democratic Party for years. She campaigned for Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama in the past, and also endorsed Hillary Clinton when she ran for president in 2016.
But Oprah wasn’t the only liberal celebrity to receive a hefty payday from the Harris campaign.
Singer Beyoncé received $10 million for delivering a 4-minute speech at Harris’s rally in Houston, Texas, in October.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion also received $5 million, Lizzo $3 million, and Eminem $1.5 million.

Meanwhile, it’s emerged that despite raising over $1 billion in campaign funds, the Harris campaign ended its failed bid against former President Donald Trump with $20 million in debt, which the 47th president-elect has volunteered to help pay off.
“I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over,” Trump posted on X Saturday.

“Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do,” he continued, “We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was ‘Earned Media,’ and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
