An illegal alien from Uzbekistan who was released into the U.S. by the Biden administration before being charged with a slew of heinous sex crimes in New York City has been apprehended by federal authorities.

On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the apprehension of Ulugbek Davronov, a 21-year-old Uzbek national.

Davronov was caught after illegally crossing the southern border in December of 2022 near Lukeville, AZ.

U.S. Border Patrol placed Davronov in removal proceedings and released him into the interior.

On Jul. 28, 2023, a federal immigration judge ordered the Uzbek removed from the U.S. in absentia.

On Feb. 19, Davronov was arraigned in Queens County Criminal Court on charges of rape, including: oral sexual contact without consent-other than incapacity consent; sexual misconduct: engage in oral sexual contact without consent; attempted assault: with intent to cause physical injury; and sexual abuse: subject another person to sex contact without consent.

ICE lodged a detainer against Davronov, but Queens County Central Booking ignored the request and released him back into the community.

On Apr. 28, Davronov was arrested by ICE officers during a targeted enforcement operation on Staten Island and remains in federal custody.
