An illegal migrant from Africa with a criminal record was arrested for raping an underage girl in Paris this week, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded at around 4 a.m. on Monday in the French capital.
A 14-year-old girl was “running away from her placement home in Nogent-sur-Marne” when she encountered the suspect at Gare du Nord, the busiest railway station in Europe, Valeurs Actuelles reports.
The man, who is homeless, allegedly brought the child to his mattress and raped her.
Authorities later found her wandering in the train station and she told them what had happened.
Officers arrested Mouctar D., a 28-year-old citizen of Guinea who was illegally present in France.
Mouctar D. has previously been convicted for offenses related to “intentional violence and violation of drug legislation,” a police source told Valeurs Actuelles.
