Authorities in Texas apprehended a pair of illegal aliens who apparently used high-tech gear to cross the Rio Grande this week.
The Eagle Pass Police Department (EPPD) issued a press release detailing a bust that unfolded on Thursday in a residential neighborhood.
EPPD was alerted about men trying to hide under a bridge on the border river.
Officers encountered two males who were discovered to be illegal aliens from Mexico and Guatemala.

“As a result of our collaborative efforts with our community, a vigilant citizen of Eagle Pass reported two suspicious subjects in a residential neighborhood in south Eagle Pass.

“When apprehended the two males were wearing full length wet suits used for scuba diving and each
was in possession of an individual water propulsion apparatus to what can only be assumed
was to navigate through the treacherous waters of the Rio Grande,” EPPD stated.
The illegals were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
