Former mafia hitman Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano recounted his attempt to bribe Donald Trump into working with the mob, but admitted the New York real estate mogul could not be compromised.
In an interview going viral on social media, the ex-mobster turned state witness, who was convicted of killing 19 people as a member of the Gambino Crime Family, discussed failed efforts to convince Trump to work with the mob.

“He don’t care about money. He’s a multi-billionaire. As much as they try to break him, he’s got money,” Gravano says.
“He’s not worried about money. You can’t bribe him. I know that as a kid growing up, I was in the mob. I tried to bribe him. Never worked. Never, never worked. And it was beneficial to him. He just wouldn’t do it.”
Gravano, whose cooperation with law enforcement was pivotal in taking down crime boss John Gotti, added Trump is focused on solidifying his legacy in rebuilding America and acknowledged he’s a “gangster” in his own right.
“Trump is a businessman. His policies are great. And I know one thing. He’s a tough guy. I’m going to call him a gangster. We need a gangster,” the former mobster said.
Sammy The Bull had previously discussed his failed efforts to get to Trump in an interview earlier this year.
“I tried a couple times to press him and make arrangements where I could work with him and I did that with other big contractors. I had the power of the unions…But I couldn’t get to him. He wouldn’t bite. He just wouldn’t bite. He didn’t wanna do anything like that,” Gravano told Vlad TV, adding Trump’s security team was staffed by ex-FBI agents.

“One of my guys said, ‘We’ll go up to the office.’ I said, ‘We’ll [go] up to the office, everybody around him is an ex-FBI agent. We’ll go up to the office, we’ll get cuffed and we’ll go right to prison.’ So, forget about Trump. He’s a legitimate guy. He don’t wanna do it. Forget about Trump,” Gravano said.
Following Gravano’s account, Trump thanked the former gang member for the kind words, writing, “Thank you to Sammy the Bull. I hope Judges Engoron & Kaplan see this. We need fairness, strength and honesty in our New York Courts. We don’t have it now!”
