The Congressional testimony of Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer has revealed the extent of “one of the greatest corruption scandals in the history of Washington,” according to constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley.
Archer revealed several major bombshells while testifying before the House Oversight Committee in a closed-door meeting on Monday, for example, alleging then-Vice President Joe Biden was “the brand” for Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings and that 20 phone calls were made by Hunter with Joe present to sell “the brand.”
“Burisma would have gone out of business if ‘the brand’ had not been attached to it,” Archer had claimed.
Turley, a registered Democrat, reacted to Archer’s damning testimony in an appearance on Fox News on Monday.
“What we now know, quite frankly, is that the President has been lying,” Turley told Fox anchor Neil Cavuto on Monday. “He lied during his presidential campaign, he lied as president when he had his staff repeat that he has no knowledge, no interactions with these business dealings. That’s clearly false.”

Turley also noted that aside from his lies about his involvement in Hunter’s business dealings, there’s a bribery paper trail that leads to Joe Biden.
“What we also know is that we’ve had millions and millions of dollars transferred through this labyrinth of accounts that seem designed to hide these transfers to the Biden family. That is the apex of corruption,” he said.
“I’ve been a critic of influence-peddling for decades. I’ve never seen anything like the Biden family.”
Turley explained that the influence-peddling scheme was designed to put distance between Joe Biden and the foreign payments, but ultimately that won’t matter in the face of Archer’s damning testimony along with text message and financial documents.
“No money has to go directly to the president [Joe Biden]. There’s lots of ways to benefit the Biden family. But the one thing we can’t do is just walk away. We have to find out the full story here,” Turley said.
“This is shaping up to be one of the greatest corruption scandals in the history of Washington, and that is saying a lot,” he added.
Archer’s damning testimony comes just days after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R) floated launching an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden in the wake of evidence recovered by the House Oversight Committee.
Joe Biden lied about his involvement in his family’s corrupt business deals.
The big question is—what else is he trying to hide?
