California’s top Republican candidate in the state’s ongoing recall election, Larry Elder, was harassed by violent leftists on Wednesday.
A woman wearing a pink-haired gorilla mask threw an egg at him and other protesters hit a member of his group in the face multiple times.
The incident took place while the gubernatorial candidate was touring one of Venice Beach’s infamous homeless camps.
Luckily for Elder, the person who threw the egg had terrible aim and missed from just a few feet away.
When a man walking with Elder’s group asked the gorilla-masked woman to stop throwing things, she punched him in the face.
Next, a man stepped into the face of the guy who was just attacked and snarled with a demonic tone, “Get the fuck out of here. You won’t hit anybody, understand me boy?”
At this point, a person sucker-punched the member of Elder’s group and the guy who was in his face punched him in the back of the head.
Following the attack, the group was able to make their way into a vehicle and safely leave the scene.
The footage has been seen over four million times on Twitter alone.
Larry Elder told his social media followers he won’t let the violence intimidate him amid the ongoing campaign, writing, “Today I kicked off the Recall Express bus tour. Before we even left Los Angeles, my security detail was physically assaulted, shot with a pellet gun, and hit with projectiles. The intolerant left will not stop us. We will recall Gavin Newsom. We will save California.”
Kyle Smith of National Review pointed out the fact that many mainstream media outlets have ignored the story completely and noted the hypocrisy regarding the guaranteed cries of “racism” if the tables were turned.
Smith wrote, “If Elder were a Democrat, the attack would have been instantly and with good reason dubbed racist. It would not only be front-page news, it would be just about the only news you were hearing about today on CNN and MSNBC.”
Political commentator Stephen Miller commented on Twitter, saying, “Pretend it’s Stacy Abrams. Now ask how our media would react. Why aren’t they reacting that way here?”

Physical assault has become normal among left-wing demonstrators and mainstream media has taken up the task of covering up that fact.
