Linemen working to restore power in parts of North Carolina that were damaged by Hurricane Helene are going on strike until they receive the pay promised to them by Spectrum.

Footage shared online by Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shows a man speaking with WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina, about how the workers have been on the job for eight weeks straight without any pay.

MTG blamed FEMA as the agency could use its funds to help pay the workers instead of funneling tax dollars to illegal aliens.

The man explained most of the estimated 200 linemen drove from as far as 20 hours away to “help Asheville.”

However, with employers allegedly failing to pay their wages, the men are out of personal funds and are getting behind on bills back at home.

“Our families have been waiting for eight weeks,” said the lineman speaking with the local news outlet. “How many of you are hungry?” he asked, with several men raising their hands and shouting in approval.

“If you go look in my vehicle, there’s a dog in there and an air mattress in there; that’s where we’re sleeping,” he said. “We haven’t showered. We’re not eating. Everything that they promised that they said they would come through with. Nothing is being met.”

Another worker said he’d never witnessed anything like this in over 30 years on the job.
