Massachusetts will not allow its police officers to assist the Donald Trump administration in the mass deportation of illegal aliens, the state’s Democrat Governor Maura Healey told Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC this week.

Questioned about the notion, Healey said, “No. Absolutely not… I do think it’s important that we all recognize that there’s gonna be a lot of pressure on states and state officials, and I can assure you we’re gonna work really hard to deliver.”
Continuing, the governor pointed out a GOP-majority House and Senate will make it harder for Democrats to resist Trump’s policies, saying, “In 2016, we had a very different situation in the courts and while I’m sure there may be litigation ahead, there’s a lot of other ways that people are going to act and need to act for the sake of the states and their residents.”
“There’s regulatory authority and executive powers and the like,” she said with a sinister smirk. “There’s legislation also, within our states. So, I think the key here is that every tool in the toolbox is gonna be used to protect our citizens, to protect our residents and protect our states, and certainly to hold the line on democracy and the rule of law as a basic principal.”
The gaslighting in that last sentence is extreme as illegal aliens facing deportation are not “citizens” whom the government has an obligation to protect, and defying the Constitution by shielding illegals is the opposite of upholding “democracy and the rule of law.”
Healey likely provided insight into the Democrat plan to act as obstacles to Trump’s goals since the cult-like political party’s politicians typically all adopt the same schemes.
Expect other blue states to do everything in their power, even if it violates the law, in order to stifle the MAGA movement’s America First agenda.
It’s worth noting that spats between states and the federal government are what led to the Civil War.
With the establishment constantly pushing the narrative that Trump will be a dictator, it’s likely Democrat politicians will defy the law and play victim when they’re held accountable in order to portray the administration as authoritarian.
The Trump deportation agenda is only one area where the Democrats are openly planning to resist, so America should expect similar opposition to other policies.
