On Thursday NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Europe must enter a ‘wartime mindset’ while speaking to security experts and analysts at the Carnegie Europe think-tank in Brussels.
“It is time to shift to a wartime mindset,” Rutte said at the meeting Thursday, according to the AP.

Shockingly, Rutte said that a ‘wartime mindset’ is needed to ‘prevent war’. Taking a page out of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, Rutte essentially insinuates that ‘war is peace’.
Rutte failed to mention how the West provoked the war in Ukraine via the 2014 coup.
Rutte even twisted the 2008 events in Georgia, claiming that Russia invaded Georgia when what actually happened was Georgia, backed by the West, invaded Russia.
“The former Dutch prime minister listed Russia’s attacks on Georgia in 2008, the annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula in 2014, and the all-out invasion launched almost three years ago,” the AP said Thursday.
Hilariously, Rutte claimed that Russia is at war due to wanting to end European’s ‘freedoms’, despite Europeans being arrested for social media posts.
“[Putin] is trying to crush our freedom and way of life,” Rutte said at the meeting Thursday, according to the AP.
