Around nine million illegal aliens will have been registered at the southern border and released into the US by the time Donald Trump swears the oath of office on 20 January 2025, according to new data released by the Department of Homeland Security.
The data, which shows a total of 10.5 million illegals were registered at the southern border between January 2021 and June 2024, were released just a few days before the election.
Of that 10.5 million, 2.5 million were blocked under Title 42 epidemic rules, which were then lifted in 2023.
Just under 2 million migrants were returned or removed, and 5.9 million were released into the US.
A further 2.2 million—at least—were able to sneak in to the US as “gotaway” migrants.
And from July to October of this year, an additional million migrants arrived in the US or were allowed through the southern border. At current rates, between now and Trump’s inauguration, 300,000 more will enter the US.
That brings the total to around nine million.
As Breitbart News notes, when the total of legal migrants is added to this figure, migration during the Biden-Harris administration reached roughly 15 million, the equivalent of one person for every single American born since January 2021.
In an interview on Thursday, Trump told NBC News that he would carry out his promise of mass deportations regardless of cost.
“It’s not a question of a price tag. It’s not — really, we have no choice,” he said.
“When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag.”
Trump has stated that the program would operate at multiple levels, involving federal and local agencies and potentially even the military.
