Congressional Democrats on Wednesday blasted out similar posts on social media expressing opposition to Republicans’ six-and-a-half month spending resolution that would avoid a government shutdown, arguing a one-month extension is all that’s needed.
Dems’ “unified” stance against the GOP’s Continuing Resolution, which would keep the government funded through Sept. 30, drew criticisms after many observed the rhetoric in X posts from a multitude of congressmen were nearly identical.
“The party of NPCs in clear view,” wrote Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).
One X account, @LeftismForU, noted that 49 different Democrat congressmen posted virtually the same tweet, asking, “Do none of them think for themselves?”
Commenting on the phenomenon, X owner Elon Musk remarked, “They must be using the same social media intern.”
“Can they please try harder with their propaganda!” Musk added.
Adding to the chaos, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who voted against the spending package earlier this week, reaffirmed he would be a “no” vote, prompting President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance to threaten to primary his seat in the next midterm elections.
The funding deadline to avoid a government shutdown is Friday, March 14.
Democrats’ latest unoriginal social media campaign follows last week’s cringe social media propaganda stunt where they shamelessly posted identical videos ranting against Trump to their followers.
