After a reported gas pipeline exploded in Ukraine, Joe Biden said he was “convinced” that Russia has decided to launch an invasion into Ukraine, including an attack on its capital Kyiv.
Biden cited “significant intelligence capability” in his claim that an invasion would occur in the next few days.
“As of this moment I’m convinced he’s made the decision,” he said. “We have reason to believe that.”
“We believe they will target Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, a city of 2.8 million innocent people.”
The reported pipeline explosion occurred overnight local time in the “breakaway” region of Luhansk in Eastern Ukraine, according to Interfax.
