Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was met with a chorus of boos and calls to retire while giving a speech in Kentucky over the weekend.
The rowdy crowd was heard booing and chanting “retire”, “Ditch Mitch” and “lost the Senate” during the annual “Fancy Farm Picnic” on Saturday as McConnell tried to deliver remarks.
“My friends, I’ll be honest, it’s not hard for Republicans to look good these days,” McConnell said amid the loud boos.

The viral video apparently reached former President Donald Trump, who reposted the incident on Truth Social Sunday along with his own statement: “I AGREE! ‘BOOOOO — RETIRE, RETIRE, RETIRE — BOOOOO!!!’”
This comes days after the Kentucky senator froze in mid-sentence while giving remarks on Capitol Hill, prompting colleagues to usher him off the podium.

The incident is the latest evidence that the Make America Great Again and America First movements in the Republican Party are prevailing and taking on the RINO establishment.
