Reuters Admits Trump Only Living President Without Slave-Owning Roots

Former President Donald Trump is the only living president whose descendants didn’t own slaves, an expansive report by the Reuters news outlet admitted.

Reuters examined how numerous prominent legislators, high court judges and heads of state were tied to “America’s ‘original sin’” of slavery, concluding that “More than 100 U.S. leaders – lawmakers, presidents, governors and justices – have slaveholding ancestors.”

“Among 536 members of the last sitting Congress, Reuters determined at least 100 descend from slaveholders,” the news outlet explained. “Of that group, more than a quarter of the Senate – 28 members – can trace their families to at least one slaveholder.”

In the sixth paragraph, Reuters begrudgingly admitted every living president, including Barack Obama, had ties to slave owners – that is, except for President Donald Trump.

“In addition, President Joe Biden and every living former U.S. president – except Donald Trump – are direct descendants of slaveholders: Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and – through his white mother’s side – Barack Obama,” the article stated. “Trump’s ancestors came to America after slavery was abolished.”

The admission Trump didn’t own slaves is a major blow to the liberal narrative that he’s a racist figure.

The investigative report is reminiscent of PBS’ Finding Your Roots show in which host Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., whose approval Reuters sought, would confront major entertainment figures with genealogical research showing their ancestors owned slaves.

Emails uncovered by Wikileaks from 2014 showed how A-list Hollywood actor Ben Affleck got his episode of Finding Your Roots canned in order to hide the fact one of his uncles owned slaves.

“I didn’t want any television show about my family to include a guy who owned slaves. I was embarrassed. The very thought left a bad taste in my mouth,” Affleck explained on Facebook. At the time he was in the middle of shooting, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Affleck’s embarrassment over his family’s slave-owning history shows the stigma liberals fear accompanies the slave owner designation, while Trump’s non-ownership of slaves undermines liberals’ racist depiction of him.
