On Monday the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) claimed that NATO is now trying to remove Ukrainian ruler Vladimir Zelensky from power due to him being an obstacle to peace negotiations.
“Washington and Brussels agree that the main obstacle to the implementation of such a scenario is Zelensky, who is referred to in Western circles as nothing more than ‘expendable material,’” the SVR said in the statement. “…even NATO understands that Zelensky’s time is up.”
The Russian agency suggested that the presidency of Donald Trump is a key factor, as continued U.S. financial support for the Ukraine was is now not a guarantee. The Trump administration has already halted Ukraine aid. Zelensky is now claiming that he didn’t get all of his money.
Zelensky, whose term in office expired in May, remains to this day, claiming the war allows him to stay.
The Ukrainian ruler is also upset that Western intelligence services have spoken to Russian intelligence services.
Trump is likely to begin negotiations with Russia very soon, something Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready for immediately.
Zelensky has outlawed peace talks with Russia, instead promoting his ‘victory plan‘ which calls for continuing the war with Russia along with three classified points.
The former actor-turned-ruler has previously requested nuclear weapons of his own.
