Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle faced intense grilling by the House Oversight Committee over her agency’s failure to prevent an attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
Cheatle refused to resign and even claimed in her testimony Monday that she was the “best person to lead the Secret Service at this time.”

But at one point in her testimony, Cheatle made a stunning admission that even if Trump had been killed, she STILL would not have resigned!
Democrat Rep. Jared Moskowitz (Fla.) asked her, “If Trump had been assassinated that day, would you have tendered your resignation?”

Cheatle danced around the question, saying, “I would still be sitting here, because I would want to ensure the integrity of the investigation.”
When asked again if she would have resigned if Trump was killed, she smirked and said, “I think that I’ve admitted that I’ve taken accountability and will take responsibility.”
WOW.
Guess Cheatle would have expected a promotion then?
