Singer and actress Selena Gomez deleted a video of herself crying over illegal alien deportations after social media users slammed her for the embarrassing, pathetic spectacle.
On Monday, Gomez posted a video to Instagram sobbing and saying, “I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry…All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”
Gomez’s post featured a Mexican flag emoji.
“‘My people?’ Aren’t you American?” questioned conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Referring to her as a “certified moron,” Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren remarked, “This is why we don’t take our political advice from Disney child stars.”
Following the backlash, Gomez reportedly deleted the post.
“Gomez deleted the video and posted a since-deleted response on her Instagram Story, ‘Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,'” reports Variety.
Asked about the millionaire actress’s blubbering breakdown, President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said he had “no apologies.”
“I don’t think we arrested any families – we arrested public safety threats and national security threats bottom line,” Homan told Fox News.
