During a Senate Rules Committee hearing on Thursday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was able to get Biden FEC nominee Dara Lindenbaum to admit she signed a legal document claiming Georgia voting machines illegally switched votes in the 2018 election.

Cruz questioned Lindenbaum about a lawsuit she filed on behalf of failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams questioning the results of Georgia’s 2018 election.

In the lawsuit, Abrams and Lindenbaum claim the state’s “insecure and unreliable” electronic voting machines “switched votes,” “lack a paper trail” and “cannot be audited.”

When Cruz asked Lindenbaum to confirm that she put her name on a legal pleading acting as an officer of the court which alleged the machines used in the 2018 Georgia elections illegally switched votes from one candidate to another, the Biden FEC nominee simply responded, “Yes.”

Cruz also asked Lindenbaum if claiming the election was stolen “undermines faith in the democratic process,” to which she responded, “I think it can. I think it depends on the context involved.”

Apparently, it’s only acceptable when Democrats make allegations of vote tampering via faulty electronic voting machines.
