Former President Donald Trump reacted to Kamala Harris’s shaky interview with a Philadelphia news station on Friday, claiming “she had no idea what the hell she was saying.”
Trump made the remarks during a rally in Las Vegas where he mocked Harris’s inability to directly answer a question by Action News 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff in an 11-minute interview.
“Today she had a terrible interview. Did you see the interview she had today? She can’t talk! She can’t talk without maybe getting the answers. What’s the story with that?” Trump told the crowd.
“She had a terrible interview today with the Philadelphia TV station. A big word salad. She just kept talking, talking, talking, she had no idea what the hell she was saying. She reminded me of Sleepy Joe Biden!” he added.
In her second interview since joining the race, Kamala undermined her own record in the Biden administration claiming its policies were not for the “twenty-first century.”
And for most of the interview, Harris refused to answer questions directly.
For example, Taff asked her, “I wonder if there are one or two spots, policy areas or approaches where you would say I’m a different person [than Joe Biden]?”
“My approach is about new ideas, new policies that are directed at the current moment. And also, to be very honest with you, my focus is very much in what we need to do over the next ten twenty years to catch up to the twenty first century,” Harris responded.
“I’m obviously not Joe Biden, and you know, I offer a new generation of leadership,” she added.
Taff also asked Harris how she would bring “down prices and making life more affordable for people.”
“I grew up a middle class kid,” Harris replied, again ignoring the question.
Harris also said she wants to ban guns. “I feel very strongly that it is consistent with the second amendment and your right to own a gun to say that we need an assault weapons ban,” she said. “They’re literally tools of war.”
“We’re not taking anybody’s guns away,” she added in the same breath.
