An elderly man was beaten to death and multiple victims seriously injured when a suspect embarked on brutal rampage in San Francisco this week, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Visitacion Valley, a neighborhood in the Bay Area.
A male suspect approached a 26-year-old man at a bus stop outside a 7-Eleven convenience store on Bayshore Boulevard and launched an unprovoked assault, KTVU reports.
The clerk, identified only as Bob, says he saw the suspect dragging the victim toward his shop in a headlock.
“He was banging his head on the window and I’m inside by the cash register, and he said, ‘Call police. See, call police,’” Bob told NBC Bay Area.
While Bob was attempting to call 911, the suspect came around the counter and attacked him.
“I went down. I think he hit me three times, maybe more. I can’t remember because I almost passed out,” he explained.
The suspect then exited the shop and ambushed 77-year-old Richard Owens nearby.
Owens was subsequently beaten to death.
A surveillance camera captured part of the attack.

The assailant can be seen repeatedly bashing his victim in the street before standing up and stomping on his body as cars pass by.
Police apprehended the suspect a short time later.
Incredibly, no information or description of the suspect have been released at the time of this writing.
