“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin had to read another legal notice during Wednesday’s edition of the program, this time clarifying for viewers that ex-Donald Trump Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz and current Trump Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth maintain their innocence in recent accusations of sexual misconduct discussed on the show.

Near the end of a segment, Hostin stared into a camera and stated, “I have a legal note. Matt Gaetz has long denied allegations and has not been charged with any crime. Gaetz previously dismissed allegations that he paid for sex, saying that quote, ‘Someone is trying to mischaracterize my generosity to ex-girlfriends as something more untoward.'”

“Another legal note; Pete Hegseth lawyers said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit. He has denied any wrongdoing,” she added.

Clearly embarrassed at having to correct the record on-air, Hostin’s co-host Joy Behar chimed in, saying, “Just call the show ‘Legal Note’ from now on,” as the statement was the second one Hostin was forced to make this week alone.

Hostin on Tuesday was compelled to read a legal notice on air correcting defamatory statements she’d previously made falsely accusing Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) of inappropriate involvement with a minor.

Gaetz responded to the first legal note on 𝕏 Tuesday, posting “eyeball” emojis.
