With all this talk on “multidimensional” beings/travel coming out of Congress’ UFO hearings this week, many Americans are looking for a quick explanation of the dimension directly above ours.
Over 40 years ago, renowned astrophysicist Carl Sagan released a succinct lecture on the fourth dimension.
In this short video excerpt from his 1980 TV series titled ‘Cosmos,’ Sagan first describes in detail the relationship between 2nd and 3rd-dimensional objects to better illustrate how we can perceive, but not fully interface with objects from the 4th dimension.
Towards the end of the lecture, Sagon uses shadows to describe how lower-dimensional beings can perceive the projection of higher-dimensional objects.
This conceptualization is remarkably similar to “UFO whistleblower” David Grusch’s testimony earlier this week.
“In terms of multidimensionality, the framework that I’m familiar with is something called the holographic principle,” said Grusch. “It derives itself from general relativity and quantum mechanics. If you want to imagine 3D objects such as yourself casting a shadow onto a 2D surface, that’s the holographic principle.
“So you can be quasi-projected from higher dimensional space to lower dimensional… it’s a scientific trope that you can actually literally cross [dimensions]…”
Grusch is stressing what Sagon was, lower dimensions can only perceive imperfect projections of higher dimensional objects rather than experience the object in its entirety.
