In the aftermath of a knife attack that was ended by a police officer before it could become a mass casualty incident, top Boston officials offered their deepest sympathies – to the deceased suspect and his family.
The near-tragedy unfolded at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening in Beantown’s Back Bay neighborhood.
Two terrified people ran into a Chick-Fil-A with a knife-wielding maniac in pursuit, NBC Boston reports.
An off-duty cop inside the restaurant drew his firearm, identified himself as an officer of the law, and ordered the suspect to drop the blade.
When the man refused to comply, the cop reportedly shot him.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The officer was also hospitalized as a precaution, but no other injuries were reported.
Incredibly, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu offered her condolences and “all of our thoughts” to the “family of the individual whose life has been lost” during an ensuing press conference.

Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox’s statement on the matter was even more shocking.
“Our condolences go to the individual who was killed tonight,” Cox said.
Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox just sent his condolences—not to the innocent residents terrorized in a violent knife attack, but to the knife-wielding suspect who tried to kill two people.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden offered equally disturbing sentiments, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the individual who has been lost.”

In contrast, City Councilor Ed Flynn – a Democrat – praised the officer who neutralized the suspect.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Boston Police Officer involved in last nights’s Boylston Street incident. Thank you for your courage, dedication and bravery to keep residents safe. We support your heroic action and stand with you and your family,” Flynn stated.

Very limited information about the suspect has been released at this time.
InfoWars has been documenting the surge of crime across the United States, including carjackings, ‘street takeovers,’ smash-and-grab loot mobs, home invasions, and physical attacks on innocent victims.
