A pair of illegal aliens with alleged ties to the Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested in connection with the murder and robbery of a man in Connecticut this week, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, police in Rensselaer, NY, announced the apprehension of a man and woman from Venezuela who were found to be in possession of belongings stolen from 59-year-old man who was shot to death on Sunday in a hotel in Stamford, CT.

Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias, 24, and Moises Alejandro Condollo-Urbaneja, 22, were intercepted by Rensselaer police after they allegedly used the homicide victim’s ATM card at a local Amtrak Station.

The couple was accompanied by two children, ages 1 and 3, who are reportedly Galindez-Trias’s offspring.

“Our investigation revealed both parties are in this country illegally from Venezuela. Both parties are believed to be affiliated with Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal organization from Venezuela. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was contacted, responded to RPD, and issued Immigration Detainers for both subjects,” Chief William Famiglietti explained in a press release.

Law enforcement sources informed Fox News that Condollo-Urbaneja entered the U.S. as a ‘gotaway’ at an unknown location and date.

Galindez-Trias was caught and released after illegally crossing the southern border near Fort Brown, TX, in May of 2022.

She was holding a New York immigration identity card at the time of her arrest.

The homicide victim was identified as Angel Samaniego, 59, a legal Ecuadorian immigrant.

While homicide charges have not yet been filed against either suspect, they were each hit with fugitive from justice charges and ordered held on $2 million bond.

Stamford authorities are currently seeking their extradition.

The children, one of whom is reportedly an American citizen, were turned over to Child Protective Services.

An investigation is ongoing.
