Former President Trump ripped into journalists for asking soft questions during his successor Joe Biden’s White House press conference on Wednesday evening.

‘The questions are lovely. I wish they asked me questions so nicely like that and they’re almost apologising for … asking the question,’ he told a small group of reporters by telephone from his home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

He was promoting his coffee table book ‘Our Journey Together. It is back on sale after supply chain problems hit its production after selling out its first 200,000 copies.

It features photographs of Trump with Queen Elizabeth II, Trump striding purposefully from Marine One and Trump in the White House situation room on the night ‘we got Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,’ the leader of ISIS.

It also allows him to settle scores, with biting captions that ding political enemies ranging from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook.

And during the 20-minute interview he hinted at plans for a new, tell-all book, played down reports of a rift with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and said his book showed how how own achievements stacked up against the report card that Biden presented during the press conference.
