Former President Donald Trump is besting Kamala Harris in an informal cookie poll held by a Philadelphia bakery in a deep blue district near where the presidential opponents will face off on Tuesday.
In a recent CBS News piece, Kathleen Lochel, the owner of Lochel’s Bakery in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, said Trump 2024 cookies had outsold Kamala cookies by several magnitudes.

Lochel said cookies are flying off the shelves favoring former President Trump, with numerous orders in several blue states on the East Coast.
“The red is leading by a lot. By a lot,” Lochel told CBS News Philadelphia, going on to point to a tally showing Trump’s beating Kamala by almost 4,000 cookies.
“Absolutely. And just to stress this, that is not a typo,” a CBS News reporter reminded viewers.
Lochel went on to point out that they’re not taking sides politically, while at the same time acknowledging they’ve noticed skyrocketing prices on everyday ingredients needed for baking.
“Yeah, I mean, I’m a small business. And prices are really high right now,” she said. “We’re seeing increases daily on eggs and butter.”
In 2020, Democrat Joe Biden reportedly beat Trump in Montgomery County by over 25 points.
Former President Donald Trump took note of Lochel’s cookie poll and shared the story on Truth.
On Tuesday, the bakery took note of the former president’s acknowledgement and thanked him on Facebook, writing, “We want to thank Donald J. Trump for sharing the cookies! No matter politicians affiliation to have a a former president running again for president share a little bakery cookie poll is AMAZING! Happy debate day!”
Could the informal cookie poll be taking the pulse and revealing the real sentiments of people across America better than traditional surveys and push polls?
