Former President Donald Trump expressed support for Louisiana’s recent law requiring The Ten Commandments to be displayed in classrooms statewide.
“I LOVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PRIVATE SCHOOLS, AND MANY OTHER PLACES, FOR THAT MATTER,” Trump declared on Truth Social Thursday evening. “READ IT — HOW CAN WE, AS A NATION, GO WRONG???”
“THIS MAY BE, IN FACT, THE FIRST MAJOR STEP IN THE REVIVAL OF RELIGION, WHICH IS DESPERATELY NEEDED, IN OUR COUNTRY,” Trump continued, adding, “BRING BACK TTC!!! MAGA2024.”
Trump support for “the TTC” comes as Louisiana passed landmark legislation Wednesday requiring posters featuring The Ten Commandments to be displayed in “public elementary, secondary, and postsecondary schools” throughout the state.
“The text of the Ten Commandments shall be the central focus of the poster or framed document and shall be printed in a large, easily readable font,” the law’s text states.
“Recognizing the historical role of the Ten Commandments accords with our nation’s history and faithfully reflects the understanding of the founders of our nation with respect to the necessity of civic morality to a functional self-government.”
Following Louisiana’s passage of the law, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick vented on X that Texas would have beat the Pelican State to the punch if House Speaker Dade Phelan and Democrats hadn’t “killed the bill by letting it languish in committee for a month assuring it would never have time for a vote on the floor.”

“I will pass the 10 Commandments Bill again out of the Senate next session,” Patrick vowed.
